Responsibilities:
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring to yard staff
- Oversee and maintain yard cleanliness and organization
- Able to lead and assign daily tasks to yard staff
- Working with the Stone Yard Manager to maintain yard inventory
- Oversee yard inventory, tracking, ordering and replenishment
- Oversee forklift and loader operators
- Always monitor safety in the yard, ensure all staff are following safety protocol
- Organize order processing, ensuring trucks are loaded properly and in a timely manner
- Knowledgeable and aware of all yard operational duties
- Assist customers to ensure they are helped by yard staff, and/or their ‘pick-up’ orders are processed correctly and efficiently
- Able to communicate professionally and be courteous to all customers and staff
Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of landscaping materials through experience
- 5 plus years in a Foreman or Supervisor role
- Forklift and/or Loader experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communications skills, both written and orally
- Critical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented, accurate and have an aptitude for basic math
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
